Benno created the script of this movie where the principal has alzheimer. He wanted to indicate the passing time by showing the seasons of the year. But without filming a whole year long, we had to fake the seasons. So we created a tree, where we can set many parameters like leaf-count, wind, aging, etc. There were also other tricky scenes like directing flies where they have to fly - which is also only possible with visual effects.
